1993.10<\/td>\nThe Department of Russian in Tamkang University is established. Professor Wan-Chin Tai heads the Department as the first dean. All full-time faculty members are Russian except for the Dean.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1994.08<\/td>\nProfessor Chi Yang succeeds Wan-Chin Tai as the second dean.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1995.09<\/td>\n\u201cThe Junior Year Study Abroad Program\u201d begins.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1996.08<\/td>\nProfessor \u041c.\u0412. \u041a\u0440\u044e\u043a\u043e\u0432 succeeds Professor Chi Yang as the third dean.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

1997.09<\/td>\nThe Government-funded Exchange Students Program with Moscow Language University takes place.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2000.09<\/td>\n\u201cRussian Government Scholarship Program\u201d sponsors students of the department to study in Russia for a year.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2001.08<\/td>\nTwo Taiwanese professors were hired as full-time faculty members for the first time.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2002.08<\/td>\nThe first alumna of the Department, Ms. Liu Hwang-Shing, is hired as full-time professor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2003.08<\/td>\nProfessor Vladimir Maliavin succeeds Professor \u0410.\u0410.\u041f\u0438\u0441\u0430\u0440\u0435\u0432 as the fifth dean.<\/p>\n

2006.12<\/td>\nThe fourth alumna Ms. Chao Shih-Hsuan passes the Special Examination for Consular and Diplomatic Personnel of this year.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2007.08<\/td>\nAssociate Professor Chang Ching-Gwo succeeds Professor Vladimir Maliavin as the sixth dean.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2008.12<\/td>\nThe fourth alumna Ms. Shiu Kuan-Huai passes the Special Examination for Consular and Diplomatic Personnel of this year.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2009.04<\/td>\nThe Department is accredited by Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
